On the night of January 25, 2011 Dollar General at 2605 Country Club Rd Wilkesboro was broken into and money was stolen from a safe. There were two suspects that concealed their identities while inside the business. Shortly after the two suspects left, the Dollar General in Catawba County on NC Hwy 16 South near the Alexander county line was broken into the same way and money taken from the safe. On January 03, 2011 the same two suspects wearing the same exact clothing broke into a Dollar General in Claremont, NC using the same method. It was also found that several other counties and states have had the same type of breaking and entering’s during the month of December 2010 and January 2011 using the same method at various other businesses as well. North Wilkesboro Police and Wilkesboro Police has reports of very similar incidents with businesses in the past few years There is no suspect vehicle information at this time. Copper wire and heat pump coils were stolen from Malone Bay Apartments in Wilkesboro sometime during the second week of November 2010. Copper wire was stolen from the US Army Corp of Engineers sometime between mid July 2010 and September 2010 in Wilkesboro. Copper wire was stolen from several chicken houses in the area of Shepherds X Rd and White Plains Rd sometime in September 2010 and October 2010 and also in the area of Yellow Banks Rd. Copper wire was stolen from several utility poles in the area of Gunter’s Hill Rd in the Boomer Community and the Pores Knob Area of Moravian Falls.
