5/8/2012 - B&E and Larceny

On Tuesday May 8th, 2012 at 0128hrs the ABC store at 798 S. Curtis Bridge Rd Wilkesboro was broken into.  The person or persons broke out the front door to the business and entered taking a bottle of liquor.  The subject then exited the business by the front door headed north on Curtis Bridge Road.  Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.  Please contact Crime Stoppers at 667-8900 or contact Wilkesboro Police Department if you have any information.

3/1/2012 - Larceny and Damage to Property

A reward has been offered through Wilkes County CrimeStoppers to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for committing the following crimes. These crimes were committed on the evening of March 1st and the early hours of March 2nd. The crimes were committed at the following locations in Wilkesboro;

·         The concessions building at Rivers Edge Park owned by the Wilkes County Parks and Recreation Department was broken into and a Troy-Built Pressure Washer was stolen.

·         A lock was cut off a construction trailer while it was parked at the Red Carpet Inn. Several construction tools were stolen out of the trailer.

·         A Town of Wilkesboro Street Department truck was broken into and a battery powered Milwaukee hammer drill was stolen.

·         Someone entered the construction site of the new O’Reilly Auto Parts on US Hwy 421 and stole rolls of copper wire.

·         Someone entered the WeaverCooke construction site (Former Wilkesboro School) and stole two drop chords and several construction tools.

The Wilkesboro Police Department Police Department is investigating these crimes and ask that anyone with information call the Wilkes County Crime Stoppers at 667-8900 or Captain Tommy Rhodes at 336-667-7277. Remember you are not required to give your name to receive your money through Crime Stoppers.

1/18/2012 - B&E and Larceny

Between January 16th, 2012 at 5:30p.m. and January 17th, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Someone broke into Celebration Church and stole several items.  Included in those items are flat screen televisions.  If anyone has any information about this please contact Crime Stoppers or Det. Janet Gryder at the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office.

10/18/2011 - Homicide

Wilkes County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the following case:

On Tuesday, October 18th, 2011, at approximately 8:20pm, Justin David Alexander was discovered deceased inside of his residence located on Triplett Hollow Lane in Hays.  Alexander, who resided at the residence by himself, was last seen alive the previous afternoon.  The investigation, which is being conducted by the Wilkes County Sheriff`s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, is being treated as a homicide.  Anyone with information, please contact Wilkes County Crime Stoppers at 667-8900 or Wilkes County Sheriff`s Office at 903-7600 or you may submit a tip from this website.

9/8/2011 - Felonious Larceny
An EZ-Go golf cart was taken from a residence off Hwy 16 N in the Millers Creek Community on the evening of September 7th, 2011.  The golf cart was later found burned and abandoned on the side of Hwy 16.  The golf cart was white in color.  If you have any information please contact the Wilkes County Crime Stoppers at (336) 667-8900, the Wilkes County Sheriff`s Office at (336) 903-7600 or click the link below to help solve this crime.
